At G & J Lockwood Ltd, we recognise the crucial role our employees play in the success of our business. We are committed to ensuring their safety and welfare while they are at work. Our health and safety policy ensures that we meet with the requirements of the Health and Safety at Work act 1974 and the Management of Health and Safety at Work regulations 1999.

To help us to achieve the safest working environment possible for our employees and in accordance with the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1996, G & J Lockwood Ltd have appointed a Company Safety Committee comprising of two people, The Director, (Board Level) and an employee (Staff Level)

The main remit of this committee is to:

• Ensure that all hazards and risks associated with work activities are identified and then eliminated to a practical level.

This policy is the direct concern of the board of Directors and will be actively pursued so as to ensure that all measures are implemented. The Safety Statement will be brought to the attention of all employees who will be actively encouraged to submit ideas for improving the general standards of health, safety and welfare at all sites, works and offices.
